Landshark Ledger 3/28

I have always looked at life as a voyage, mostly wonderful, sometimes frightening. In my family and friends I have discovered treasure more valuable than gold.

Notes from the President

We had a successful Relay for Life fundraiser.  Thanks to Dave and Judy for spearheading this event.  We raised $3,605 to help fight cancer and had a total of 142 man hours of service.  Great job Parrot Heads!!

Next up is our 27th BIRTHDAY BASH on April 2 from 2-6pm at 026 Biergarten with music by Tall Paul, Quincy, and Jim Stevens.  We will have a raffle, 50/50, and drink like someone else is buying.  We will also be having a gift raffle to raise funds for our St. Jude Walk/Run team.  We welcome any donations for this raffle.  If you would like to bring something to be raffled, contact Jane Ellen at charity.stlphc@gmail.com.  We want to make sure we have enough space.  As long as the weather is nice, we will be on the patio.  Otherwise, we will be inside.

So I have some good news about Night at the Races. We are able to get the Track Side Pavilion located outside under a pavilion right in front of the clubhouse building. Tickets for the race will be $25 and will include gate admission, program, buffet, non-alcoholic beverages, tax and seating until the end of racing. In order to make this event happen, we have to have enough people to attend. Please let us know if you will be attending by Monday April 3. As long as we have enough people, we will start collecting money shortly after. Let us know if you have any questions.

Notes from the President

Hopefully everyone made it back from Stars alright...We have some great events coming up.  Relay for life on March 25th and the Birthday Party on April 2.  There will be a “Bored Meeting” for anyone interested on April 3rd.  Keep an eye out for the time and location.  Based on the responses to the Night at the Races, we will have to schedule something in August.  I will keep you posted on the details.

Would anyone be interested in attending a St. Louis Football Club game on May 6th?  I don’t have pricing yet, but I want to get a general consensus.

***Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our BIRTHDAY BASH!!! On April 2 from 2-6pm at 026 Biergarten with music by Tall Paul, Quincy, and Jim Stevens.***

The STLPHC LandSharkNado Relay for life team efforts are still going on and will culminate with the actual event on March 25 at Marquette High School from 3-Midnight. We will have a pop up and table to sell baked goods (the more icing the better) for our fundraiser for the evening. Stop by anytime and hang out (bring a chair). Our team is currently  #4 in the fund raising efforts and the fourth larges with 18 members. The theme this year is superheroes and we will be sharknado theme.

The Rockwood Relay for Life Committee loves the STLPHC!!! Here is a link for joining, donating or purchasing luminaires in support of a friend or loved one. You don't have to attend to be a member or support our efforts we are $750 short of our goal for this year and sure that we can get'r done in the next few weeks.

Notes from the President

I hope everyone is staying warm...We have some great events coming up.  Relay for life on March 25th and the Birthday Party on April 2.  There will be a “Bored Meeting” for anyone interested on April 3rd.  Keep an eye out for the time and location.  On another note, Fairmount Park just made their schedule available and they do not have May 13th available for us.  They have given us a few options: May 27th (Memorial Day Weekend) or sometime in August.  We have to have 50 people committed to get the room like we had last year.  Let me know your thoughts.  If we can get enough people for May 27th, we will book that date, if not, we will be looking at August for Night at the Races.  I look forward to hearing from everyone.
